Is it really Christmas?
A merry Christmas to all of our readers and really happy New year? And that leaves the question about what you will be doing to make life better for others next year.
One thing that we can all do is to help the environment by ensuring that we recycle more of our waste and ensure that it does not go to landfill. If we do not do more our local Conservatives will push forward with their plans to build a new incinerator in the Former Avon area! A report from a recent meeting of the West of England Waste Partnership is attached.
West_Of_England_Waste_Partnership_Report.doc
We have also attached Bath & North East Somerset Councils Refuse and recycling collection times for the Christmas period.
Refuse_Collections_only_Christmas.doc
Pleas also look out for each other over the festive season and try to make sure that our elderly are looked out for.

Land Rear of Cynthia Road / Mayfield Road
The attached document is the decision of the Planning Inspector for the Development of 5 houses behind Cynthia Road.
Residents will remember that your councillors along with many residents fought the planning application earlier this year.
The planning inspector overturned the Councils decision to refuse planning permission and has granted permission for the homes to be built.
Although we are unhappy that consent has been given we would draw your attention to the conditions on page 7 that may help a little with some of the concerns that were raised.
