Produce Market at Bath City Farm this Saturday!

Bath City Farm are holding their final Produce Market of the year, this Saturday 4th October, 11am – 1pm.

They will be selling fresh vegetables (including squashes, savoy cabbage, leeks and peas), jams, chutneys, bread, Gloucester Old Spot Pork, fresh cut flowers and crafts. They have some great value strawberry plants, redcurrant/blackcurrant bushes, Sweet Williams, pansies, chilli plants, sweet peas, vegetable seedlings and herbs.

There will be live music and a bouncy castle too, so a great day out for a good cause!

Why not go along and have some fun.

Bath Press Site

We are expecting a planning application shortly for a housing and office development on the Bath Press site.

We understand that the development will be of mixed housing and grade A office accommodation.

We are also led to believe that the frontage of the Bath Press building will be preserved in some way or another.

One issue that we are most certainly aware of is that there is no retail on this site.

Once the application is in we will publish full details on this site so residents will be able to have their say on how the site is developed.

In the mean time we would like to hear from residents on what they feel should happen to the site so that we can feed this in at an early stage.

Please contact us to discuss further.

Claude Avenue ramp safety issues resolved

Following numerous communications from both Councillor Sharon Ball and local activist Sarah Moore and a meeting on-site this morning with BANES officers and Councillor Paul Crossley have led to the safety concerns that were raised finally being listened to and a sensible safety option being accepted.

There is an agreement to place a small railing either side of the ramp entrance and a railing on the pavement alongside the road, leaving sufficient space for bikes to exit the ramp but also ensure safety of pedestrians on the pavement.

Officers are also looking at removing/reducing the number of bollards in place as these railings would offer safety to both those entering and leaving the ramp and those using the pavement.

Fly tipping

We have asked for this old mattress that has been dumped alongside Polamco to be removed as soon as possible.

It is annoying that as we start to get this area cleaned up we get people dumping in the area.

If you saw the person who dumped this then please let us know.
