Brickfields Play Area

We are pleased to see that after reporting the burnt and rusted bin on the Brickfields, it has been replaced.

We are keen to ensure the area is kept clean and having usable rubbish bins is vital to this.

If you are aware of any issues with bins in your area, please get in touch.

The Hollow

We have contacted the cabinet member to request the bin that has been placed at the bottom of The Hollow/top of Lansdown View is moved.

We have requested this bin is placed next to the bus stop, close to the shop, this will hopefully help to reduce the amount of litter that is dropped in this location and also the large amount of litter that regularly accumulates at the entrance to The Brickfields.

We will keep you updated on progress with this request.

Bus Shelters and Recycling bins

It is good to see the new bus shelters going in along the Lower Bristol Road. These are much better that the previous ones and all have seats.

We have arranged to complemement these arranged to have a new litter bin and two recycling bins placed by the bus stop outside of the former Herman Miller building.

This we hope will help keep down the litter in the area.

Rubbish Bins

During a recent walk around the ward I noticed a number of bins that were either being heavily used, or hardly used at all.

I have requested the bin that was put at the bottom of the Hollow, just before you turn into Lansdown View, is moved a few yards further up, to the turning into the Brickfields.  This will hopefully mean less litter being dropped along the entrance area into the Brickfields.

I have also requested damaged bins are replaced and also a bin that is not secured to the floor is sorted to ensure it does not get damaged.

We want our bin back

I have complained to the council that the heavily used litter bin on the path between King Georges Road is missing and just its broken base left behind.

I have asked that the bin is returned as soon as possible as before i have always had to complain how full it was and we do not want all that litter over the floor.

Litter Bin Linear Way

I have asked for this broken litter bin on the path between King Georges Road & Ringwood Road to be replaced as you can clearly see it is broken off from its base.

I am hopeful that the bin will be replaced with a more robust style of bin as these ones seem to easily rot out.

Bin replacement Vernon Terrace

By Sharon Ball

I have asked for the litter bin to be replaced outside of 3 Vernon Terrace that has been for some reason been taken away.

If you walk into town on one side of the Lower Bristol Road there are virtually no litter bins and the area is starting to look rather untidy.

I would hope that the bin could be replaced shortly and I will try to find out why it was removed in the first place.
