Coronation Ave
After receiving complaints about speeding traffic on coronation ave we have asked that the mobile speed monitor is deployed at different parts of Coronation Ave on a regular basis.
We have asked in the first instance that the monitor if placed close to the local Junior school where there is a perceived problem.
Drivers in this area seem to be ignoring the 20mph zone or forgetting about it so we are hoping that this will remind them that there is a need to slow down.

Lidl update
Just a short update on the progress since Lidl gained planning permission for the redevelopment of Part of the former Herman Miller site on the Lower Bristol Road.
I have had contact with Lidl in the past few days who tell me they are now putting together the development schedule for the site of which they have offered to share with me later this week and as soon as I have it it will feature heavily on this blog.
What they have told me is their commitment to ensuring the store is developed by the summer of this year so we can all look forward to some cheaper shopping in time for next Christmas.

Are you fed up with automated phone calls
If you are fed up with receiving automated phone calls then there is something that you can do about it. Calls from and automated system should only be made to you by a firm if you’ve given them permission first.
So if you’ve had an unsolicited automated sales call from like 08432 890 031, here’s the place to lodge a complaint:http://ico.org.uk/complaints/marketing/31.
Don't let them get away with it no matter how plausible they may sound together we can stop these Nuisance calls.

Bath City farm Litter Pick 1st Feb 10.30 till 3pm
Bath city farm will be carrying out a litter pick on 1st February from 10.30am till 3pm.
People are just asked to turn up on the day via the entrance on Kelston View soup and refreshments will also be available for those litter picking on the day.
It is recommended that stout footwear is worn as the ground is uneven and muddy.
Litter pickers usually do a good job clearing the farm land and surrounding roads and hedgerows and the more help that there is the easier the job.

Western Riverside
It is good news to hear that the gas tower on Western Riverside has been finally decommissioned so no longer holds any gas.
It is planned over the next few months for the gas tower to be taken down and the contamination from the land removed.
This latest new means that the restrictions on building in this area can be lifted allowing for the further development of housing on Western Riverside.

Help reduce waste (do you recycle)
What do you do with your household an garden waste.
This handy guide from Bath & North East Somerset Council explains different ways of disposing of any waste that you may have including general household recycling right through to how to dispose of that old duvet that you may have.
Take a look at what you can recycle and I am sure that you will be as amazed as I was, remember the more we recycle the less that goes to landfill and helps keep our taxes down.
