Stay Safe at Home
The Police remind us that particularly in this hot weather that we remember to close windows and secure doors at night or when out.
This is more important as offenders have gained entry through an insecure door or window in recent weeks.
Simple precautions can prevent incidents occurring so let's all try and be a bit more careful and mindful of leaving any properties unoccupied.
If you have information about any crime, phone the police on 101 or you can call anonymously to the independent charity CRIMESTOPPERS 0800 555 111.

Westmoreland Graffiti Update
The number of complaints received by residents about the grafitti around the area have increased recently and we are keen to get this sorted as soon as possible.
On Friday, Local Beat Manager PC Adrian Secker said: “Graffiti is a problem in the area and it’s something we take very seriously. It’s criminal damage, not art, and costs everyone in the community tens of thousands of pounds a year to clean up. We work closely with our partners at Bath and North East Somerset Council to investigate who is responsible, and we take a very robust approach to bringing them to justice. We have recently made some arrests, a number of people have been bailed and we are awaiting a charging decision from the Crown Prosecution Service. As ever, we rely very much on the public to be our eyes and ears – so my message to everyone is to be a good neighbour and tell the police if you know anyone who is spoiling your community.”
Since this statement was released, we are pleased to confirm that one individual has been formally charged and will appear in court shortly. Investigations are on-going into the activities of other people and further updates will be provided when they are available.

Launderette door forced
Do you have any information on who may have forced the door at the launderette in Triangle Villas, Oldfield Park,

Local crime wave can you help.
Between Monday 25th March and Thursday 4th April, unknown offenders have forced open a garden shed in the rear garden of a property in Loxton Drive, Bath. Two pushbikes were stolen.
On Wednesday 27th March between 5.30am and 3.00pm, unknown offenders have stolen a silver Cagiva Nuvola 50 motorcycle which was parked and secured in Priddy Close, Bath.
Between 7.00pm on Friday 29th March and 12.00pm on Saturday 30th March, unknown offenders have slashed the tyres and damaged the bodywork of a vehicle parked in Loxton Drive, Bath.
