Went for a walk yesterday, as I thought it might be a bit damp today. Met a few residents who were very friendly and chatty.
I have reported the potholes on Lymore Avenue, West Avenue and Triangle West.
Also reported more graffiti - under the bridge on Bridge Road and in the play area at the end of Lymore Gardens as well as a couple of other areas.
While we were out walking we also came across this tree that was not exactly in the most safe of positions.
I reported this to the Environment Agency, British Waterways, BANES Council and the Member Champion for the River. Lets hope this can be sorted quite quickly as it is rather dangerous for river users.
Feel free to contact us if you have any unresolved issues in your street and we will be happy to look into them for you.

Great walk around Westmoreland today.
Potholes in Bellotts Road have now been repaired, but a lot more issues discovered.
More grafitti at end of Ringwood Road, Brook Road, Bellotts Road, Dorset Close and Inverness Road, all reported to BANES.
Fly tipping in South View Road Car Park and Roseberry Place also reported.
I have requested the weeds that are appearing along a number of paths are looked at and removed.
Also asked for the road sign on the railway bridge at the end of Ringwood Road to be removed and replaced as the base is so rusted and rotten it is dangerous.

Westmoreland Walkabout
I had a busy weekend just gone, walking aound the streets in Westmoreland and talking to some of the residents. Whilst I was out I reported a number of issues to BANES including potholes on quite a few roads in the area including West Avenue, Millmead Road, Lymore Avenue and Coronation Avenue, the weeds along many footpaths that are not being looked at, increasing levels of grafitti and quite a lot of overhanging vegetation.
If you have any issues you would like to discuss, please do not forget to contact Cllr Sharon Ball or myself who will be happy to talk to you about them.

Parking restrictions West Ave, Brook Road ,Triangle North Junction
By Sharon Ball
The council have been consulting on the proposals that I put forward for parking restrictions on the dangerous corner where these three roads join.
I asked for restrictions to be put in place here over a year ago after witnessing buses unable to get around the corner, I was also concerned that residents were having difficulty crossing the road having to pick there way through parked cars on both sides of the road.
If the consultation is successful the restrictions will be put in place, I have also received confirmation that the new 20mph speed limits proposed by the council will soon reach this area.

Bin replacement Vernon Terrace
By Sharon Ball
I have asked for the litter bin to be replaced outside of 3 Vernon Terrace that has been for some reason been taken away.
If you walk into town on one side of the Lower Bristol Road there are virtually no litter bins and the area is starting to look rather untidy.
I would hope that the bin could be replaced shortly and I will try to find out why it was removed in the first place.
